Diplomatic Incident is the fourth mission in Killzone: Mercenary.

Plot

As the ISA began their invasion of Helghan, Admiral Alex Grey has tasked the Phantom Talon Corp to rescue Ambassador Sepp Harkin and his family, who are under house arrest (as the leaking of Admiral Grey's location has been discovered by the Helghast) in the Vektan Embassy in Pyrrhus. Furthermore, a Helghast scientist, Mandor Savic, had approached the Ambassador, looking to defect. Savic is revealed to be closely tied to Kratek, and thus Grey wants him.

Danner is sent to the Embassy that is now under siege by Helghast forces. Harkin and his family is defended by their bodyguard Boris, a Helghast Heavy Trooper. Danner makes his way to Harkin but is too late to save him and his wife. Only their half-breed son, Justus, survives the ordeal. Savic had fled from the Embassy. Danner and Boris escort Justus to the docks beneath the Embassy. But Boris is left mortally wounded before being killed by multiple rockets. Danner and Justus escapes.
