Construction of the dividing partition was a joint effort by the Helghast and the Vektan government and took approximately three years to complete. It spans the entire circumference of the planet and reaches its highest point - 235 meters - at the section which passes through Vekta City. The partition comprises of two walls that are separated by a 200 meter wide neutral zone. Both walls are heavily fortified with manned anti-aircraft guns and automated turrets.

In less populated areas of the planet, the Wall reduces in size, as does the neutral zone. Fortifications are spaced further apart, but the ground is heavily mined. International waters are policed by Helghast and Vektan ships and maintained by automated buoys and floating defense platforms.
