Gregor Hakha is a Helghasthalf-breed and secret agent for the Colonial Intelligence Service of the ISA. He is a playable character in Killzone and a playable co-op character in Killzone: Liberation.
Hakha was a trusted aide and friend to General Joseph Lente, the mastermind of the Helghast invasion of Vekta. At one point, Hakha even served as Chief of Staff to Lente.
Hakha has a brother, and it is known that his mother is Helghast and his father human. He is an expert in Helghast weaponry and technology, as he possesses strong technical and espionage skills. Due to his Helghast heritage he also heals faster than an ordinary human. He is wise and very intelligent, judging by his vocabulary, and sometimes quotes philosophers and poets alike.
Holding the rank of Colonel, Hakha was opposed to the authoritarian nature of Scolar Visari in which he eventually defected to the ISA shortly before the invasion of Vekta.
Second Extrasolar War[]
Hakha was immediately marked for assassination by the Helghast Third Army during the invasion of Vekta. His ISA bodyguard was struck down and he was captured until being rescued from certain death by Captain Jan Templar, Sergeant Rico Velasquez and Shadow MarshalLuger. Although Hakha was greeted with surprise and hostility (mainly from Rico) over his Helghan heritage, in which Rico attempted to execute him, but was prevented from doing so by Templar. Hakha quickly proved his trustworthiness to his rescuers by saving Rico's life from a Helghast soldier.
Hakha joined Templar's squad and was set to be evacuate from Vekta. However, Hakha requested Templar's permission to hack into the ISA mainframe to extract information on the SD platform, which he believes has fallen to the Helghast. But he was then accused by Rico of being a double agent working for the Helghast and is only attempting to disrupt the ISA. This provoked a deadly stand off with Rico and Luger (who believed in Hakha's claims) until it is defused by Templar, who gives Hakha permission to analyze his findings. Hakha's suspicions proved to be true as ISA General Stuart Adams, commander of the SD platform, is working for Lente and intends on using the platform against the UCA relief fleet.
Hakha fought alongside Templar's squad in trying to stop General Adams. Throughout the entire journey, Hakha often clashes with Rico over his Helghan heritage but eventually the two come to respect each other. Hakha eventually re-encountered with Lente in which he and his team fought and defeated his former friend. He shared some words with a mortally wounded Lente, criticizing him for being not the friend he once knew and having "sold his soul" to Scolar Visari for power. Lente in turn spites Hakha by revealing that his family saw him as a disgrace, except for his brother who accepted Hakha's "heroism" and was personally executed by Lente. Upon hearing this, Hakha promptly shot Lente dead.
Hakha and the others then used Lente's shuttle to reach a nearby uplink and traveled to the platform just as the relief fleet arrive. The group managed to stop Adams before escaping to a shuttle as the fleet bombard the platform. When their shuttle is unable to launch due to being connected to a fuel line, Hakha attempt to disconnect it but becomes trapped under it when being attack by Helghast forces. Fortunately, Rico pulls Hakha out to safety. Afterwards, Hakha thanks Rico for saving his life.
Aftermath[]
Following the invasion, Hakha was left emotionally exhausted and chose to retire, refusing all work directly to do with the war. Rumors speak of him turning down a Colonel's rank in the ISA military and even a high ranking place in ISA intelligence. However, he had agreed to serve as a freelance military and cultural consultant to aid the Vektan council in their stated goals of liberating the Helghast people from Visari's reign.[1][2]
Hakha has since gone on record as being opposed to the wholesale invasion of Helghan, which he believes will simply force the Helghast to support Visari as the alternative to foreign invaders. He had his own plan to have a Shadow Marshal, particularly Luger, to assassinate Scolar Visari and end his threat once and for all.[2][1] But his approach was apparently turned down.
(Team enters Hakha's building, Templar stays on door duty) Templar:"Make sure he's ok." Luger:"Oh God..." Templar:"What is it?" Rico:"Motherfucking filthy little piece of shit!" Luger:"He's a Helghast." Rico:"Was a Helghast..." Templar:"Hold It! Rico. Door cover." Rico:"Fuck... You...." Templar:"Rico!"
(Rico reluctantly goes towards the door, Templar comes to Hakha) Luger:"Well... it's him alright. We got the right guy." Templar:"You Helghast?" Hakha:"Half Helghast. Half human." Rico:"I don't wanna fucking imagine how that works." Templar:"And you know who we are?" Hakha:"I imagine you are here to take me away." Luger:"Your name's Hakha?" Hakha:"Yes." Luger:"Whose side are you on, Hakha?" Hakha:"My side." Rico:"Shit! We'll see what side he's on when I've got this baby shoved up his poppa's ..."
(Hakha takes Templar's gun and shoots an incoming Helghast soldier)
(Cutscene at the SD platform takes place) Templar:"Stay close to him. Try to figure him out. He seems to be hot for you." Luger:"Get over it, Jan." Templar:"Yeah..."
Escape[]
Show: Leaving Vekta
Templar:"Alright. Our instructions are to get Hakha off Vekta as soon as. That means heading for the fortress and putting him on the next shuttle outa here." Luger:"The fortress huh. We're gonna need a boat. We'd better head for the Docks." Rico:"Great! Seasickness! It's bad enough having to look at this mutant's face all day." Hakha:"Well, those of us with even remotely developed minds rise above the frailties of the flesh, and cope with it." Rico:"It's lucky for you that you hold some vital shit in your head, you bald fuck, or I'd rip it right off and shove it up your"
(Rico gets cut off) Templar:"Enough! Rico! Hakha! Play nice!"
Show: Dock intel
Hakha:"The information I gathered from the Helghast. I have to process it immediately. I need access to the mainframe." Templar:"We don't have time for that. We gotta get you on one of those shuttles." Hakha:"I need to process data... here!" Rico:"Hey! Didn't you hear the captain? We're deliverin' the package. The package is you!" Luger:"What is it you need to do Hakha?" Rico:"What? You just gonna let some unknown freak hack into the mainframe? How do we know he's not a double agent, huh? What's to say he's not on the other side?!" Hakha:"And how many of "the other side" do you calculate I've killed in the past hour?" Rico:"Heh, you bastards don't even give a shit about your own!"
(Hakha grabs Rico, Rico pulls a gun, Luger pulls a knife on Rico) Rico:"Try it, scum. Come on. Try it... Back - off - bitch!" Luger:"If you fire. You know you're dead."
(Templar fires into the air) Templar:"THAT'S IT! ENOUGH! IT'S A LONG WAY TO THE FORTRESS, AND OUR CHANCES, EVEN IF WE PULL TOGETHER ARE SOMEWHERE BETWEEN SLIM AND NIL! So for the last time, GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER AND START ACTING LIKE SOLDIERS! So. Hakha. What is it that can't wait?" Hakha:"I found out a computer on the SD platforms has come under the control of the Helghast. It's that computer they've used to shut down the defence systems. I need to identify it to inform General Adams, but to do this I need to hack into the mainframe." Templar:"Alright. You got 3 minutes."
(First cutscene of the SD platform plays)
(Hakha is busy hacking) Templar:"Hakha...." Hakha:"Nearly there."
(Second cutscene of the SD platform) Templar:"Hakha! Time's up!" Hakha:"Got it! But it can't be..." Luger:"What? What is it?" Hakha:"It can't be."
(Third cutscene of the SD platform plays) Hakha:"The computer under Helghast control. It's General Adams's personal computer."
(Fourth cutscene of the SD platform plays) Templar:"Shit! General Vaughton's in real danger up there!" Luger:"And if Adams's is a traitor, then he'll soon be in control of the SD platform weapons." Hakha:"Which can be aimed..." Rico:"Oh Jesus! Look!" Hakha:"...anywhere."
(A lightning bolt falls from the sky in the distance, causing a massive explosion)
Show: Docked boats
(Team looks in the direction of the explosion) Rico:"That's your ticket outta here up in smoke, Hakha." Luger:"So what now?" Templar:"We head for the uplink - the orbital transfer station feeds the SD platform directly. It's our only coice." Rico:"You're kiddin' right? That's like 90 k through a giant shit heap of Helghast. An' I ain't ugly enough to pass for one of them." Hakha:"We have to try. The earth fleet is coming soon." Rico:"How do you know this shit??" Hakha:"I'm a spy... It's my job..." Luger:"But when the earth fleet arrives. Adams can just blow it out of the sky! Jan?" Templar:"We head for the remains of the fortress.... It's the only way to the uplink and... it'll be a good position to get the lie of the land."
(The team splits up in two boats) Rico:"How come I get to share with the rat?"

Show: Code 3-3 Firebase
Templar:"A firebase." Hakha:"Specifically, a code 3-3 firebase. The Helghast use these for major pre-emptive strikes." Luger:"We could go around it." Rico:"We could punch a hole straight through it." Templar:"Our priority is to make it to the SD platform. And stop the Earth fleet from being blown out of the sky. We go round." Hakha:"Captain Templar, you said earlier that our chances of making it through the enemy ranks were "somewhere between slim and nil". Perhaps we could improve those odds by creating something of a stir right here. A confused enemy is more easily played. As every assassin knows." Rico:"So the mighty brain agrees with the grunt. That's a first." Hakha:"Even a monkey will write Shakespeare given enough time..." Templar:"So you two agree on something, get over it. We attack the firebase. Let's move out." Rico:"What the fuck is a Shakespeare?"
Show: Fortress Comms
Templar:"Hakha - see if you can get any of these comms going. Get a message through about Adams." Hakha:"I'll try." ISA:"HOLD IT!" Templar:"Take it easy soldier." ISA:"STAND BACK FROM THE EQUIPMENT! NONE OF YOU MOVE!" Templar:"You're making a mistake. General Adams..." ISA:"General Adams warned us about you traitors." Templar:"It's Adams who's the traitor." ISA:"Don't try it with me! We all know how Vaughton and his rebel bastards took over the SD platform! We're just lucky how General Adams is back in charge again." Templar:"Tell me soldier - what targets do you think Adams is striking right now?" ISA:"I said don't try it! I ain't in on classified stuff so you're just wasting your time!" Rico:"Getting' real tight people." ISA:"Shut up! Nobody's moving until I..."
(Luger tackles the soldier, Templar picks him up) Templar:"What happened to General Vaughton?" ISA:"Adams put a bullet in his head."
(Templar walks off, soldier stands back up) Luger:"Find your squad and get out of here." Rico:"We gotta get goin'. Now!"
(Templar hits the machinery) Luger:"Vaughton's dead, Jan. It just changes the equation slightly." Templar:"He was a friend of yours too."Luger:"And we have a job to do."
Hunting the Traitor[]
Show: Adams' Arrival
(Hakha finds a dead Helghast soldier with a mobile communication device)
(Luger taps Rico's shoulder) Rico:"Jesus! You trying to give me a heart attack?" Luger:"The route ahead is riddled with Helghast. There's a beacon over on one of the far hills. It's bound to be occupied, but we should be able to get past unseen." Rico:"A beacon?" Templar:"The SD platforms use them to map out the terrain. Ok. Let's move..." Hakha:"Wait!" Rico:"What's it saying?" Hakha:"Silence! It's General Adams. He's heading for that GPS beacon." Luger:"Jan. Our priority..."
(Luger gets cut off by Templar) Templar:"I know all about our priorities! And right now that traitor is a realistic target." Rico:"So let's go take him out."
Show: GPS Beacon
Templar:"Adams was never here." Luger:"It was a set-up." Rico:"That's it!"
(Rico sprints at Hakha and a small fight occurs) Templar:"That's enough!" Hakha:"Someone, tell that imbecile that it's obvious I was meant to hear that message. My only crime is that I believed it." Rico:"Well I don't trust this Ghast fuck. We got that information about Adams from him and now I say we ditch him. Don't wanna kill him? Fine. But I say we dump him. Cover our backs." Luger:"We might make it as four, Jan. We won't as three." Templar:"More equations?" Luger:"I trust him, Jan." Templar:"I'm not asking you to like him Rico."Rico:"Oh man..." Templar:"But I'm asking you to work with him. For what he's done already, if he's captured, they'll tear him to pieces slowly and painfully. I think he'll be fighting in our corner."
(After leaving the beacon) Templar:"You like him huh?" Luger:"We need him Jan. It's just a calculation of risk." Templar:"You've changed."

Show: Helghast Logistics Base
Templar:"The uplink's still a long way off. We're gonna be too late." Luger:"Hakha, do we know when the earth fleet is arriving?" Hakha:"I don't claim to know everything." Rico:"The way you act, it's like you know my momma's bra size." Hakha:"I'm guessing... large." Luger:"Look here. The missile base. Maybe we could hitch a ride from the Helghast." Templar:"Feasibility?" Hakha:"It won't work. Those bases are too well dug in. We have to find another way." Rico:"Oh Really! Last time we listened to this guy we got HelmetMan rippin' us a new asshole!" Templar:"We don't have any choice. We're running out of time. We got to hit the base and pick up any transporation we can find."
Hidden Past[]
Show: Missile Base
General Lente:"Hakha?" Rico:"You know this guy?" Hakha:"He's the general of the third army. That's all." General Lente:"That's all. I once trusted you with my army, my security, I once trusted you with my life." Rico:"You were Chief of Staff for this bastard?" Hakha:"Yes." General Lente:"Together we crushed the enemies of our people. We were invincible, the elite. He could have been a general himself a long time ago, but he changed. Developed a bleeding heart. Became a revolutionary." Hakha:"Yes, it's you who've changed Lente. You who sold your soul to Visari for a taste of power." General Lente:"My family will attend a hero's funeral for me, Hakha. Your mother pretends you're dead already. The rest of your family never even mention your name. Only your brother speaks of your "heroism". At least he did, until I had him shot."
(Hakha kills Lente) Hakha:"It's 30 minutes by air to the uplink. Let's go."
Onwards and Upwards[]
Show: Mountain Landing
Rico:"I guess landing at the top of the mountain was too easy huh?" Templar:"This is the closest we could get. Adams knows we're on our way."
(Luger tosses a bag to Templar) Luger:"Jan..."
(Templar catches it, Luger leaves the dropship) Luger:"Jan, when this is over..."
(Templar cuts Luger off) Templar:"It's not gonna be over. Not for a long time. If ever."
(Templar and Luger walk off) Rico:"What's up with them?" Hakha:"You haven't worked it out?" Rico:"No. Why don't you tell me." Hakha:"Right, well a special forces captain falls in love. He promises her the world, but she has other plans. Nine months later they meet again. Except now the brave captain's sweetheart is a cold assassin. Trained to kill, trained to think, not feel. Act, not reflect. Oh... She is almost perfect. Although I suspect Captain Templar feels otherwise." Rico:"You know what? I think you're full o shit."
Show: Space Shuttle
Templar:"Everyone strapped in?"
(Templar takes off, causing Rico and Hakha to fall) Rico:"Ouch... Motherfucking..." Hakha:"Steady..." Rico:"Get off me!"
(After Hakha and Rico sit down) Luger:"So. Anyone know what these SD platforms look like up close?"
(Shuttle approaches the SD platform) Luger:"Pretty neat." Templar:"What's that?" Hakha:"Parasite craft. Used to penetrate a target vessel and drop troops." Rico:"I take it they're expecting company." Hakha:"Yes. Us." Luger:"Ready boys?"
Show: Ending Adams
General Adams:"I suppose it's to be expected. You would never have been content with Lente's death. The war, is over. Without Lente, the attack will come to nothing. But they will be back. Visari will never give up on Vekta. You don't get it, do you? They see us as the agressor. They are fighting to claim what we once stole from them. Fighting to prevent another imperialist... ISA attack on their homeland. I cannot stop the Earth fleet now, the Helghast on board take no notice of me. There is never any pity, no mercy for the "traitor"." Hakha:"You try to compare us? You madea choice general, based on your own goals and morals and as did I. We may both seem traitors by our outside appearance but that is where our common ground ends." General Adams:"Hahaha! What are you going to do? Kill me? It won't solve a goddamn thing. You got Lente, but it wasn't enough was it?! No! Templar and his little band of fuck-ups have to come here and save the day! If only you could see the visions Visari has shown me, the power, the lengths to which they are willing to go, they will never stop; they will never be bargained with. If if only you could see how insignificant this 'victory' of yours is to them. Your friends have been captured. The platform is breaking up. DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND??!! YOU DON'T STAND A FUCKING CHANCE!"
Show: Platform Escape
Shuttle system:"Pre-flight system failure. Refuel line obstructed." Luger:"We got a problem with the fuel line!" Rico:"I got it." Hakha:"What do you know about the spec of these craft?"
(Hakha manages the refuelling while Helghast soldiers arrive) Rico:"Under fire!!"
(Hakha falls with the fuel line on top of him) Shuttle system:"Launch sequence commenced." Rico:"Hakha!!" Shuttle system:"30 seconds to launch."
(Templar comes out of the shuttle to help Rico) Shuttle system:"20 seconds to launch." Luger:"This is our only launch window!! We have to go!" Templar:"Hakha!!" Rico:"Fuck this!"

(Rico is shot down, but dragged into the shuttle just in time by Templar) Hakha:"Rico. Thank you." Rico:"Welcome."
(The shuttle flies through the debris) Luger:"Comms are coming back." Templar:"Get through to them and see what the situation is. And tell them about Adams." Luger:"First call I'll make. Looks like most of the earth fleet got through ok. They'll send more forces won't they? The Helghast, I mean." Templar:"Yeah. They will. And we'll be here to meet them."

Gregor Hakha is voiced by Sean Pertwee, who also voices Colonel Mael Radec in Killzone 2. Sean Pertwee is the only voice actor in the series to play Helghast characters against and in support of Scolar Visari.
The StA-52 assault rifle is Hakha's favoured weapon and shows above-average accuracy with it.
Hakha is the first known "half-breed" in the series.
He is the first playable Helghast in the campaign mode of the Killzone series. Echo of Killzone: Shadow Fall is the second, though only in one level.
He only appears in Killzone: Liberation during co-op mode gameplay, as he will disappear when a cutscene activates and will reappear once the cutscene is over.
