The Helghast Strike Fighter, or Space Fighter, is an offensive aerospace ship. It was deployed late in the Second Extrasolar War during the events of Killzone 3.
Specifications[]
The Helghast Strike Fighter is typically deployed from a larger space cruiser. It is equipped with an underbelly mounted turret cannon and homing missile pods. Targeting is adjustable and covers the entire forward field of vision. The homing missile have a lock-on targeting system, but they can fire unguided without a lock having been acquired. It seats two with one being the pilot and other being the gunner. The gunner has full control of the fighter's weapons.[1]
Killzone 3[]
Mainly seen during the space battle at the end of Killzone 3, during the events of "Interception". Strike Fighters are deployed by Jorhan Stahl's ships against the forces under Admiral Orlock. Sev, Rico, and Jammer hijacked two Strike Fighters and engaged against Stahl's flagship as well as engaging Stahl's Strike Fighters and emplaced weaponry on Helghast Cruisers.
The Strike Fighter's ammo is infinite, but continuous cannon fire will cause the cannon to overheat.
