The IvP-18 Tropov is a Helghast Army sidearm featured in Killzone and Killzone: Liberation.
Specifications[]
The IvP-18 fires a three-round burst mechanism. Like most Helghast weapons, it has a cylindrical magazine, located below the barrel. It fires the same 9.2 x 20 mm high velocity cartridge as its successor, the StA18 Pistol. Unlike the StA18, it has both a single shot and burst fire mode.
Strategy[]
The IvP-18 has a slightly larger magazine than the M4, along with the impressive burst-fire ability. However, its downsides includes a slow rate of fire and lack of zoom ability. However, practice with the IvP-18 will be rewarded with incredible damage.[1]

Trivia[]
- The IvP-18 Tropov appears to be a mishmash of several real-life weapons: the magazine release catch and burst-fire capability are based on the Beretta 93R, the conical upper body and overall shape are somewhat reminiscent of the Heckler & Koch MP-7 series, the handgrip perhaps points to the Heckler & Koch USP, whereas the unusual charging handle is obviously a nod to the P-08, albeit transposed vertically instead of horizontally. The idea of a pistol with a helical magazine was probably taken from the Hungarian Danuvia VD-01.
