The Helghast VnS-10 Scylla[1] is the standard mounted machine gun of the Helghast Army. To allow for uninterrupted fire, a cooling-liquid-filled sleeve is rotated around the barrel in synchronicity with the fire cycle to keep the weapon from overheating. The weapon is also available in a slightly smaller man-portable version for easy transport in places like the mountains and swamps in Vekta.
The 12.7 x 99 mm rounds it fires are deadly against all common infantry, easily penetrating standard military body armour.
